About Blink Pay

Built for real South African transactions.

Make money movement feel simple, familiar and safe for everyday users, merchants, groups and informal transactions.

Problem

Payments are still too fragmented.

People use cash, EFTs, payment links, banking apps, WhatsApp screenshots, informal reminders and have to wait on banking delays with large startup costs. Merchants and friend groups need one cleaner layer for requesting, tracking and settling payments, instant.

Approach

Simplify the complicated.
Reduce the cost.

Wallet view, instant pay, payment requests, split pay, debt settlement and clean transaction history. Then integrate regulated rails through the right licensed partners when moving beyond simulation.

Founding team

Designed and Built by an engineering-backed team.

POPIA & Privacy Notice

Blink Pay is being designed around clear consent, minimal data collection and responsible handling of personal information. This page is a practical privacy notice for the public landing site and early access interest form.

1. Responsible party and contact

Blink Pay is an early-stage South African fintech concept. For privacy questions, access requests, correction requests, deletion requests or withdrawal of consent, reach out through the general contact channel below. The team will route POPIA-related matters to the right founder or responsible person.

2. Information we collect

  • Early access/contact details: name, email address, phone number, company or merchant name and message content.
  • Product/demo data: non-production usage details that help us understand interest in payment, wallet, split-pay and merchant flows.
  • Technical data: basic device/browser information, site analytics and security logs where applicable.
  • We do not request banking passwords, card PINs or banking app credentials on this landing page.

3. Why we process it

We process information to respond to enquiries, manage the waitlist, understand pilot/investor interest, improve the product concept, maintain site security and prepare for future regulated payment integration discussions.

4. Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. We only share information with service providers or advisers where necessary to operate the site, manage communications, assess the product or comply with legal obligations. Early access/contact records are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for those purposes, unless a longer period is legally required.

5. Your POPIA rights

You may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion where legally appropriate, objection to processing, or withdrawal of consent for optional communications.

For any POPIA-related access, correction, deletion, objection or consent questions, reach out via contactus@blinkpay.co.za and include “POPIA” in the subject.

6. Security safeguards

We aim to use proportionate technical and organisational safeguards, including access control, secure hosting practices, encrypted transport where supported, limited collection and restricted internal access.

7. B-BBEE and ownership note

Blink Pay is founded and owned by two Indian South African founders. Formal B-BBEE verification and certification should be completed before any procurement or enterprise-supplier-development process that requires a certificate.

8. Important product-stage note

Blink Pay is currently a concept / POC unless otherwise stated in a signed agreement. The public site should not be read as confirmation that Blink Pay is a licensed bank, payment clearing participant or regulated financial services provider. Live-money payment flows would require the correct licensed partners, legal review and regulatory alignment.
